Nick Hubbard is a landscape architecture photographer and filmmaker based in the Black Hills of South Dakota, working with landscape architecture firms throughout the United States. His work focuses on documenting completed landscapes through photography, cinematic video, and FAA Part 107 certified drone imagery.

With more than fifteen years of experience behind the camera, Nick approaches each project as a collaboration with the design team. By understanding the design intent, circulation, materiality, ecology, and user experience of a site, he creates imagery that communicates the character and purpose of a landscape with clarity and authenticity.

Nick’s portfolio includes parks, botanical gardens, campuses, waterfronts, urban plazas, memorials, and other public landscapes across the country. His imagery has been published in The New York Times, the Houston Chronicle, and Architectural Digest Pro, and has contributed to books, award submissions, and marketing materials for leading design firms.

In addition to still photography, Nick provides cinematic video, designer interviews, and aerial documentation to help firms tell a more complete story about their work. His process often involves careful scouting and patient observation, waiting for the right light and the right moment to reveal how a landscape is experienced.
