Hello, I'm Nick Hubbard

I call the stunning Black Hills of South Dakota home. With nature's wonders at my doorstep, my journey with photography began during my high school days, and the passion has only grown stronger. My camera is a tool that helps me freeze moments of beauty.

Landscape architecture is where I find my creative spark. There's something truly magical in the interplay of design and natural beauty. Whether it's a park that leads you on a journey or an environment that seamlessly blends with its surroundings, I strive to capture these remarkable instances. What's equally fascinating is spending time in these spaces, observing how people engage with and react to them. I'm the one quietly documenting these interactions, letting the story unfold.

My work hasn't gone unnoticed either. I've had the privilege of photographing projects that have garnered recognition in the industry.

  • The Land Bridge & Prairie at Memorial Park received the esteemed Rethinking the Future Award
  • Georgia Institute of Technology's landscape earned the notable NY ASLA Merit Award and SCUP Jury's Choice Excellence in Landscape Architecture.
  • Machicomoco State Park won the ASLA Merit Award for Communications and Research

Beyond the lens, I'm a husband to my beautiful wife Kaylee and a proud dad to our newborn Emmie. We also have a furry companion named Lulu. Exploring the trails of the Black Hills, savoring an americano, and embarking on camping trips with my trusty rusty VW Vanagon are some of my favorite pastimes.
